Something to think about….

Personality Disorders are not mine to identify. I’m aware that I’m not qualified. The only thing I can speak to is what has happened for me.
If two parents had a child and one of those parents had a medical disease, that child is born with the possibility of developing that disease. Nobody is to blame.
I’ve read that some Personality Disorders work in the same way. If two parents have a child and one of those parents has a personality disorder, the child is given to inherit that disorder. It’s not a guarantee, but chances are pretty good.
For as many years as this goes back in my family, more and more children were born with the proclivity to develop the same personality disorder. Once again, there is no blame to be placed.
I understand that it can be a birthright, but there’s also behavioral practices that are introduced overtime. Behaviors that create habits that one person, with this disorder, if only by example, chooses as behaviors for themselves.
That parent did not choose to have a personality disorder. They inherited it once. Watching the behavior of the previous parent, with that same disorder, also, influenced their future behaviors
The only thing I have to say about this is, nobody can be blamed. None of us requested to be born nor did we request to be born into a family with a disorder. Because of the disorder, none of us were raised ‘properly’. Properly within the confines of society.
How we were born and how we were raised made us who we are.
I’m not here to place blame,
but to understand the way that I was raised.
We hear you,
